The bedroom is useful advice.
The bedroom is a “sacred” place in the apartment, where strangers are not allowed in. You can learn a lot about the person from the decor of this room. There he throws off all the masks, all the worries of the day. There he can be himself, as he was born – open and defenseless. Therefore, the bedroom should be such that a person forgets in it about the outside world, calms down and relaxes. And even in an apartment furnished in hi-tech style, this room can be warm, calm and not at all modern. There is absolutely no need to maintain the general style of the house and in this room, because you are unlikely to lead guests there anyway. Here everything should be pleasant to you and only to you (well, of course, to your half, if you do not live alone), but to impress with the help of a “terrible” situation in the bedroom is completely useless.
A person sleeps about one third of his life. Therefore, it is not surprising that in ancient China there were beds with an independent water heating system, and in Germany there were times when it was necessary to climb stairs using whipped feather-beds. Since then, much has changed – only the desire to make a berth as comfortable as possible remains unchanged. This has led to the fact that today you can find a bed for every taste: with rotary and fixing the position of the body mechanisms, with heated water mattresses and even with built-in stereo systems. The same abundance in the materials: from classic beds to beds from a noble array to exotic rattan beds.
Over the past years, it is not known where furniture was bought and how the bedroom was furnished in ancient Sumer, where, in fact, the idea was born to provide a separate room for sleeping.
A bedroom set is, of course, the most convenient – then you do not need to rack your brains, trying to maintain the unity of style in the room. True, you will immediately have to pay a fairly significant amount, which is not always possible. Therefore, many salons go towards and make it possible to buy bedrooms in parts. This is also convenient because, say, a traditional wardrobe can be replaced with a wardrobe if desired. Especially when the bedroom is small – sliding or folding doors of the wardrobe will save space. In addition, they can be picked up with entirely mirrored doors – there will be no need for a separate mirror, and one of the interior tasks will also be solved: a significant mirror area will visually increase the size of the bedroom as a whole. If the bedroom is already large enough, you can go even further: to fence off several meters of space with sliding doors and arrange a comfortable dressing room.
Materials for the production of bedroom furniture are as diverse as they are traditional. The most expensive headsets are made of wood in the form of an array or veneer, or an array with partial veneering. Cheaper – from various furniture plates: MDF, fiberboard or particleboard (hygiene class Eo).
Each country producing sleeping furniture has its own preferences. For example, in Italy and Spain, beds are made, as a rule, from walnuts and cherries. Germans most often prefer beech, alder and maple. The favorite material of Belarusians is oak. Among domestic bedroom furniture, furniture is valued Karelian pine and birch.
When choosing bedroom furniture, you need to keep in mind the following: the smaller the bedroom, the more modest its decor should be. The fact is that outwardly catchy furniture will visually make a small room even smaller.
Psychologists claim that the interior of the bedroom can “put pressure” on the human psyche, even during deep sleep. It may well be. But here’s exactly what – even the most beautiful interior will fade and annoy any of us if our eyes stick together from chronic lack of sleep. Its causes, of course, are many. And not the last of them – in the design features of the bed. For example, the mesh of the frame on which the mattress is placed (also called the lattice, rack or base) can be either metal or wooden. Flexible wooden plates (they are also called slats, planks, crossbars, lats) are the preferred option. Elastic wooden plates are good for their orthopedic properties (from the Greek. Ortos – direct, correct and pedia – upbringing), allow the spine to always remain straight. The larger the number of these plates, the better. In the frame for a single bed there should be at least 15 pieces. In a double bed – at least twice as much. Even better when the bed has orthopedic nets separate from the frame. They also allow not to create unnecessary deflections of the bed.
Even more convenient when the bed is provided with an automatic and manual adjustment system for changing the angle of elevation of the head, body or legs. Deflection can be adjusted to fit different weights of different parts of the body. If the bed is double, such a system can be both for the whole structure as a whole and independent for each berth separately. In the latter case, the bed can take a position comfortable for one of the spouses.
